The office of Deacon, as set forth in scripture, is one of SYMPATHY, WITNESS, and SERVICE after the example of Jesus Christ.
The duty of a Deacon, first of all, is to minister to those who are IN NEED, to the SICK, to the FRIENDLESS, and to any who may be in DISTRESS. They also assume such other duties that the Session (the governing body of CPC) delegates.
Within CPC, there are 18 deacons and their duties and responsibilities are divided into four major areas:

The deacons are ordinary women and men who love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, equipped with a caring heart from the Lord, and allow the Holy Spirit to equip them in extraordinary ways. The congregation of CPC has chosen and set aside (ordained) the following group of deacons for 2007-2008.
