The Dock
Thursdays | 7-8:30P | DOCK B

The Dock is where students are challenged to Love God and Love People as Jesus did. Our goal is to equip students with the relationships and tools to succeed in our broken world and develop a faith in Christ that sticks with them long after they have graduated. We do this by partnering with parents and the passionate hearts of the Christ Pacific family. All students between grades 6-12 are invited to come play, eat, laugh, and celebrate with us.

Dock Action News

As our social lives, school, work, and everything else seem to be placed on hold, there is one thing that doesn’t need to slow down; our relationship with the Lord. The last few weeks at the Dock we have been studying prayer. This is an excellent opportunity to practice and dive into the intimate prayer life and the relationship God is calling you to.  Here is a reminder of our prayer outline we have been using:

P – Praise: Tell the Lord how magnificent He is!

R – Repent: Turn away from something that you might be tempted with and tell God about your struggle.

A – Appreciate: Tell the Lord what you’re thankful for today!

Y– Your Need: How can the Lord provide for you and your loved ones?

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The usual busyness of our lives often distracts us from what the Lord is trying to teach us. God may be using this strange time to get ahold of people’s hearts. So, this is the perfect time to stop, listen, and connect.

  • For this week, 30min a day, turn off the tv, Ipad, video games, etc., and try the following:
  1. Read a chapter from the book of Luke (we left off on Luke 6).
  2. Pray to God and use P.R.A.Y.
  3. Listen and ask God how you can serve or bless someone today. It could be as simple as taking out the trash/doing the dishes for your parents or writing an encouraging letter to a friend/loved one.
