Christ Pacific Preschool

love

We model love, teach kindness and teach children that God loves them. 1 John 4:19 “We love because He first loved us.”

play

Through play children develop skills they will use throughout their education and beyond.

learn

Children learn best through play in interesting, safe and loving environments. Cultivating this in our classrooms prepares children to become students who work well with others and approach learning with joy.

more information

Our teachers are mature Christians who love children and are experienced working with children in a teaching role. Each teacher has an Early Childhood Education degree, or equivalent units from an accredited college or university with a major or emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Each teacher has completed the minimum units necessary of education in Early Childhood required by California State Law, Title XXII. Each teacher possesses the willingness to continue their education to become a fully qualified teacher under this statue.

Our curriculum is designed to provide each child with experiences in the following developmental areas: creative exploration, social/emotional engagement, cognitive processing, physical motor skills, and language development. The curriculum is sent home each month by email and is posted in every classroom.

Teacher evaluations addressing each developmental area are made available to parents twice a year (December and June).

In the classroom children choose from a variety of activities set up in interest centers. Interest centers include: art activities, creative writing, small motor activities, dramatic play, sensory play, cooking, block play, scientific observations, games, and puzzles.

Our outdoor environment offers enriched opportunities in motor development including: woodworking, natural and scientific observation, sand and water play, art, music, rhythm, and dramatic play.

Circle time offers the opportunity to listen and respond to: music, felt board activities, finger plays, and literature presented by a teacher.

Parents are welcome and encouraged to visit our school at any time. Prior to visiting a classroom, please visit the preschool office to receive a visitor’s badge.
